Once again our
first tour of the year heads to the NW corner of Ireland to the rugged and sparsely populated county of Donegal. This 3 day weekend tour is the ideal start to your touring season giving you the perfect excuse to get out the bike after the winter.
Atlantic Drive near Downings
The meeting place for this tour will be on the outskirts of Belfast on Friday 13th April 2018.
We will travel across Northern Ireland on some great roads and cross the border into the Republic of Ireland before riding to Malin Head which is the most northerly point of Ireland with stunning views out to the Atlantic Ocean.
From Malin Head we continue to explore Donegal, heading through the Derryveagh Mountains to our hotel for the weekend which is close to the
Blue Stack Mountains in SW Donegal. Friday evening may be spent getting to know each other, maybe over a drink in the comfortable hotel lounge or you may want to visit one of the lively local pubs nearby.
On Saturday we will have a day run after a hearty cooked Irish breakfast. Donegal is a coastal mountainous county so there will be plenty of mountain and coastal roads with fantastic scenery during the course of the day. Refreshment stops and lunch break along with several photo stops will make for a great days riding along some fantastic motorcycling roads. We will return to our hotel by teatime.
On Sunday we leave after breakfast to return to the greater Belfast area by way of some of the highest sea cliffs in Ireland. Some more great motorcycling roads take us across Northern Ireland to our lunch stop in County Tyrone where the tour finishes.
From the lunch stop it is approximately an hours motorway ride to Belfast, so you will be there by mid afternoon. This will aso make it possible for any customers wishing to catch the 1930hrs early evening ferry to Scotland plenty of time to check in.
Time for a break, Dunfanaghy.
We will spend both nights in the same
comfortable hotel with safe parking for the bikes. Anyone wishing to
make their own way to the hotel from Belfast, Dublin or elsewhere and
meeting us there on the Friday evening is more than welcome to do so. We
can advise on suitable ferries from Britain.
The cost of the tour includes two nights hotel accommodation with full Irish breakfast, parking at the hotel for the bikes, daily itinerary for all three days and the services of an experienced tour manager.
£165 per person sharing or £195 single occupancy.
This tour is suitable for all, including those
venturing into touring for the first time. We will be covering
approximately 500 miles over the course of the weekend.
A non refundable deposit of £50 per person along with a completed booking form will secure your place on this tour. The balance of payment will need to be paid at least one month before the tour takes place. Please read our terms and conditions here.
